Empties #20

It's time for another round of empties! In August, I started Invisalign - which means I'm brushing and flossing a whole lot more. You'll be seeing a lot more oral care products from me. Here are all of the products I've finished in August & September:

beauty empties

ACT Braces Care Clean Mint Mouthwash
This was effective but I prefer the ACT mouthwash mentioned in my last empties post.

AIM Precision Floss Picks (50 ct)
These were incredibly flimsy and difficult to work with. Not a fan.

AmLactin Foot Cream with Alpha Hydroxy Acid
I liked this at first but it just became way too chemically for me. I prefer coconut oil or other natural solutions.
Bath & Body Works Wicked Plum Vampire Blood PocketBac
This scent is one of my favorites from Bath & Body works. It's only available around Halloween time! I need to grab a few more of these soon.

Beautiful Nutrition Lemon Rinse Gentle Clarifying Treatment
(Birchbox sample) I used this twice, my hair felt somewhat nicer, but I'm not dying to purchase the full-size.

The Body Shop Oils of Life Facial Oil
(Birchbox sample) This smelled like cheap soap. I didn't notice any difference in my skin.

Colgate Advanced Whitening Reviving White Toothpaste
This toothpaste was a Dollar Tree find. It had a nice taste and was effective.

Crest 3D White Glamorous White Luxe Mouthwash
I love the toothpaste (mentioned next), so I wanted to try the mouthwash. I can't stand the texture of foaming mouth wash. Since it's whitening, I should've known better. I finished the bottle anyway.

Crest 3D White Glamorous White Luxe Vibrant Mint Toothpaste
This is a staple and a HG product for me.

Dial Anti-Perspirant & Deodorant Crystal Breeze
This was my travel deodorant. I only used about half of it before it dried out. It was okay, I prefer Nivea Pearl of Beauty.

Dove Sensitive Skin Beauty Bar
This is a staple and a HG product for me.

Harry's Razor
I've only heard raving reviews about Harry's razors. I tried to use this razor for nearly two months. No matter what type of shaving cream or soap I used, I always had razor burn. Unfortunately, this razor just didn't get along with my sensitive skin; I always had irritation everywhere after using this razor. I've switched back to my beloved Venus + Olay.

(Generic) Exfoliating Glove
A basic staple.

(Generic) Glass Nail File
A basic staple.

Marcelle Xtension Plus Curl Mascara
(Birchbox Sample) I really liked this mascara. I mentioned it in my July and August Favorites. I'll repurchase the full size when I get through all of my other mascara samples.

Milk Makeup Ubame Mascara
(Birchbox Sample) I couldn't get passed the weird brush. I tried to use this mascara for about two weeks, it always resulted in a huge mess. I gave up.

Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser
(Birchbox Sample) This cleanser was okay. The smell and results weren't wonderful.

Neutrogena Make-up Remover Cleansing Towelettes (25 ct)
This was my old HG, I've been much more into micellar water and cleansers for a deeper clean.

NYX HD Concealer in 02
I've been through a few of these concealers. For the price, it's an excellent concealer. Unfortunately, I felt like the undertones no longer matched me.

NYX HD Concealer in 03
I mixed this with the shade mentioned above. It's great a concealer, just not my shade.

NYX Micro Brow Pencil in Ash Brown
This a staple and a HG product for me.

OPI French Quarter for your Thoughts Nail Lacquer
This is probably one of the oldest nail polishes I owned. (I'm thinking it was at least 6 years old!) I decided to toss it because it was separating badly and not applying well. This is one of the best gray nail polishes I've seen. I'll repurchase a new bottle in the near future.

The Organic Pharmacy Purifying Seaweed Clay Mask
(Birchbox Sample) This mask was nice; it made my skin feel really soft. I don't think it's worth the price tag, though.

Pixi Glow Tonic Exfoliating Toner
This a staple and a HG product for me. I'm now on my 4th bottle!

Plackers Dental Flossers (50 ct) (3)
These cheapie flossers make flossing so much easier! This brand was much more sturdy than the AIM brand mentioned above. These are becoming a staple for me.

Plus White 5 Minute Speed Whitening Gel
This was my old HG. With starting Invisalign, I don't have the time (or need) to whitening my teeth. This product was pretty old and about 80% empty.

Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat
Seche Vite is the best top coat there is. On the downside, it gets incredibly thick and unusable half-way through the bottle. I've already repurchased another - my 5th bottle.

Swisspers Hypoallergenic Cotton Rounds (100 ct)
A basic staple.

Tom's Wicked Fresh! Cool Mountain Mint Mouthwash (2)
Trying to find a dye-free mouthwash was pretty difficult. I went with this one because it was natural and dye-free. I wish it was slightly more minty but I like it because it's not super abrasive. I've already purchased a few more bottles!

Urban Decay Perversion Mascara
(Sephora Play! sample) This mascara just didn't work for me. It didn't provide voluminous lashes; nor did it layer well with others.

Venus + Olay Cartridge Refill
A basic staple.

VitaCoco Coconut Oil
(sample) Traveling with coconut oil is a pain-in-the-behind. I received a few samples of this just before a weekend trip and it made travel and application so easy!

Candles
candles

Bath & Body Works Capri Fresh Water & Sea Salt Three Wick Candle
I talked about this candle in my last Empties post. This was candle number 4!

Better Homes & Gardens Fall into Autumn Scented Wax Cubes (6 ct) (2)
Fall into Autumn is a cheesy and perfect name for this scent. It smells exactly like Fall to me. It's sort of perfumey but still very pleasant. I've already purchased a few more packages!

Better Homes & Gardens Tranquil Garden Spa Scented Wax Cubes (12 ct)
This is my favorite all-time favorite BH&G scent!

Better Homes & Gardens Warm Rustic Woods Scented Wax Cubes (6 ct)
I like this scent when I want a change from the two mentioned above, it's very woodsy.

White Barn Bergamot Waters Three Wick Candle
This scent was very clean and pleasant.
